Baruch Nachshon Landscapes
Born in Palestine in 1939, in the city of Haifa, Baruch Nachshon made the study of art his life’s work and the expression of his faith. He paints in an effort to define and to emphasize the presence of the active Divine Will in creation, and in order to inspire himself and others. Nachshon puts himself through a rigorous 40 day prayer regimen that “opens the heavens” to him. He paints through the eyes of this inspiration, sharing his visions with the world. His paintings can be studied in the manner of a sacred text, providing insights into the workings of creation and the promises held for the future; for the world after its final redemption, in peace and joy in God’s visible love.
