FAM Art Teachers are nothing short of AWESOME!
Lauren, for instance, does an amazing job when it comes to finding exciting ways for everyone to be creative–no matter their talents or their limitations.
For this class, she borrowed some printing blocks from a friend. In her words: “These were very special materials – hand carved blocks with African symbols.”
Think about it–when you’re working with printing blocks, why not go for something unusual, wild, exotic? In this class, the subtle blend of fascinating images (African carvings) and a simple way of applying them (stamping with printing blocks) makes great art doable for all!
You can see the incredible results. Bravo to Lauren and her wonderful students!
