Fun & Games Day Means Joy for Memory Care Residents

As part of FAM’s Multi-Sensory Programming, Fam Roboticist Ingrid created an unforgettable Fun & Games Day for the Memory Care residents at Concordia Franklin Park—and it was a huge success! Thank you, Ing and helper, Jenny.

Ten residents fully engaged in a lively session filled with hands-on games, interactive visuals, and plenty of fun facts. Using a social robot, board game pieces, and a computer presentation featuring TV game show sets and famous sports figures, the day was a perfect blend of nostalgia, creativity, and connection.

The residents enjoyed a variety of classic games, including chess, checkers, Monopoly money, dominoes, dice, cards, LEGOs, and even tennis and ping pong balls. With photographs on the TV screen sparking memories and a fun guessing game, the session kept everyone smiling and engaged.

Ingrid’s feedback: The mix of media—hands-on activities, visual slides, and interactive elements—was a winning combination, keeping the residents actively involved and entertained throughout.

Bravo to Ingrid and Jenny for creating such a dynamic and joyful experience that stimulated both mind and spirit!
