Help Us Help Our Neighbors

Photo of Elderly Hands Folded in a LapIn our state, 70% of all Covid deaths are among the elderly. However, a significant number of these deaths is due to social isolation, rather than the virus itself! To help combat the devastating effects of social isolation, Fine Art Miracles (FAM) has been sending our packaged ART2GO lessons to nursing homes and behavioral health facilities—and the results are promising!

But there are over 48,000 elderly sheltering in their homes in the Burgh who need our attention.

FAM has been serving the elderly since 2007—it’s our mission and our passion. These folks are our relatives, our neighbors, and our friends. Unfortunately, because of Covid-19, their health and well-being has never been more at risk. Our goal at FAM is to fight back with our packaged ART2GO lessons, delivered straight to their front doors.

Our friends at 412 Food Rescue have agreed to partner with FAM in this fight by including ART2GO packages with the food being distributed to the elderly living in low-income housing. That means we now have the means to reach many of our elderly neighbors sheltering at home! But we will need funding for the art lessons to make this happen.

Donating is easy, just click on ioby.org/ART2GO and follow the simple instructions. Our platform, ioby, will match the first $5,000 of all donations while funds last. That means your gift goes twice as far!

ART2GO packages include all the art supplies needed, a FAM art lesson with easy step-by-step directions, an introduction to a Master Artist, examples of the master’s work, and examples of the completed project. It’s fun in a box!

Please help if you can. The health and well-being of someone’s grandparents may depend on it. Thank you!
