In response to COVID19, Aubrey Shick (former FAM Head of Research and Technology) and Choitek founder and CEO, John Choi, worked on developing our Hugo robot’s tele-operation capabilities, enabling FAM Therapists to drop off a robot in a home and tele-operate a beneficial play learning session from another location. FAM also instituted Hugo Zooms throughout the pandemic. As exciting as these opportunities were, everyone is glad we (and our robots!) are back to in-person engagements.

Partnerships

Members of our rich ongoing research and industry partnership programs, collaborate with FAM to serve our community. These include Misty Robotics, and Embodied, Inc. Misty launched their Solutions Hub and Embodied has released their Moxie robot. FAM was a part of early testing and the development of Moxie since 2017 and enjoyed early access to Beta programs.
